I had the distinct pleasure to "guest coach" with head coach Blake Allen and the DePauw University baseball team this past week for a few practices and joined the team today for a double-header against Ohio Wesleyan College. What a special group of young men!

I was very impressed with both the team and the entire coaching staff. They were absolutely welcoming to me and treated me like part of the team, even if just for the brief period I hung around on the field and in the dugout. This group of student-athletes never ceased to amaze me - from their ability to manage a heavy academic workload and compete on the baseball field; to their overall demeanor and attitude. DePauw baseball moms and dads - be proud of who your sons are and where they are headed.
