Last August (2015) my wife and I visited her brother in Atlanta. It was a fantastic trip! Before the daylight broke on a Friday morning, I hopped in the car in hopes of getting a great panoramic photo of the city of Atlanta from the top of Kennesaw Mountain at sunrise.
When I pulled up to the parking lot, I could see a thick layer of fog surrounding the mountain and instead of turning around- I photographed the misty mountain. Although I never got the photo I had set out to make, I think this set turned out better than I could have hoped.
It was a surreal feeling at the top of the mountain in the early morning, surrounded by fog and the thoughts of what happened on and near this mound of earth.
It was a spectacular adventure and here are a few photos I'd like to share with you. Special bonus material at the bottom is a timelapse video I shot before my climb. I hope you enjoy. Cheers!
